Ten Novels That Not Enough People Have Read

I like book lists, so I like to haunt the site, The Neglected Books Page ( http://www.neglectedbooks.com/ ).  The editor describes the page as containing “lists of thousands of books that have been neglected, overlooked, forgotten, or stranded by changing tides in critical or popular taste.”

Recently (June), the NBP mentioned writer Lee Sandlin’s ( http://www.leesandlin.com/site/enthusiasms.htm ) list of Ten Novels That Not Enough People Have Read:

The editor at NBP tells how he wrote to Sandlin and how Sandlin responded with comments on each book.  You can read the comments (a very worthwhile read) at: ( http://neglectedbooks.com/?p=208 ).  NBP also tells us where we can find copies of the books in print.

  1. I haven’t heard of a single one of those books or their authors. It would be interesting to see how many people – if any – have those on LibraryThing.

Nor have I. It would be interesting.

  2. I’m glad I’m not the only one who hadn’t heard of a single one.

I guess we run in semi-literate circles.
